This August, Billy Bear is leaving the studio and heading to East Africa — but this is more than just a trip. It’s the start of something deeply human, creative, and hopeful — a collaboration grounded in purpose. Last year, with the support of this incredible community, we raised funds to help Babu access running water for his family home and purchase an electric sewing machine for his business. This year, we’re taking the next step. I’ll be working alongside my partner Cougar and local Tanzanian tailor Babu to co-create our very first international collection. By amplifying Babu’s craftsmanship and life story, we hope to connect global audiences to his work and provide him with the long-term financial stability he deserves.
