On Sunday the 15th of June I’ll be running 100 kilometres for Breast Cancer Research. The 100km will be done in the format of a 400m circular loop (roughly 250 laps).
I will be supporting the Sydney breast Cancer foundation an organisation that raises awareness and patient centric research for a disease that affects over 21,000 individuals every year.
As some may know, my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. While she was able to make a full recovery, thanks to great doctors and the ongoing progress surrounding patient research, for some, this is not always the reality. Unfortunately, my Grandmother is currently battling breast cancer, that has now metastasised throughout her body - knowing first hand the helplessness and brutality of this disease, I am hoping to raise awareness for a cause that is awfully close to home.
For this reason, every share, repost, and donation matters. It’s one small step that makes one huge difference.
More info on times and location will be shared closer to the date . Whether you want to run a few laps with me or just come by and cheer, everyone is welcome.
The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission is to improve early detection and enhance the quality of life and survival rates for breast cancer patients. They focus on raising awareness through education and self-check tools, providing support to patients and families, funding patient-focused research, and improving treatment by supporting breast units with training, equipment, and holistic care programs.
