About
Hi, I’m Ian Kidd 69 year old retired teacher and mental illness survivor.
My passion is cycling which I do for pleasure but also as therapy for my mental health. I’m at my happiest when I’m riding a bike.
Over the years I have racked up over 30,000 kms riding all over Australia. Post Covid I have included a major solo unsupported ride in my riding schedule. This year I will be riding from Adelaide back to Newcastle following the coastline.(2475km over 18 days)
To add meaning to these solo rides I like to dedicate them to important charity groups.
This year’s ride starting on 7th May and ending on 24th May is for GOT YOUR BACK SISTA whose work supporting victims of Domestic Violence is so important.
You can assist me with this ride by following it on social media - your hits and comments are extremely motivating for me, by donating generously and by sharing the posts and links with as many people as possible.
Please get on board and help Got Your Back Sista to continue their amazing work.
Got Your Back Sista is a registered charity dedicated to providing support and relief to women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
Our vision is to see women and their children happy, thriving and living independently after escaping the trauma of domestic violence.
