Horrible things happen to frogs and it is our job at Frog Safe (aka, the frog hospital) to rescue them, document what happened to them, enable their recovery, and return them safely to the wild. We see all kinds of health problems in frogs and many of the cases we receive are of scientific importance. Running the frog hospital is not cheap. We have so many expenses to cover including vet fees, lab testing fees, medicines, transport, bug breeding, communications and educating people about how to help them. Can you help support our work? Frogs might be small but they are important in the environment and have much to teach us. Thanks for your compassion!

Thanks again for your recent generosity! We have just started getting hit with the upfront costs for the cancer project. The first hundred was easy but the next supply order will be $400 and we already know the upcoming tissue sampling bill for the cases we already have will be $900+. We cannot rely on grants for this type of expense. Summer is when most of the cancer cases come in so we expect another $900 to $1,800 in sampling costs by the end of March. Please spread the word about our cancer investigation! and thanks again for continuing to make donations to this crowdfund. Have a good day.

That wave of donations that came in during June/July has been so helpful for our tadpoles and metamorphs! With this extended cold, we have not been able to release any of the youngsters and that means buying extra food to support them until it warms up enough to let them out. Your donations have paid for that extra food as well as the water. Thanks again. We hope you are enjoying the continued cool conditions - it will be too hot before you know it!

Thanks so much for all the donations to help purchase the water we need for our frogs in care but especially for the rescued tadpoles we have overwintering until spring. We're going through about 40 litres a week just for them plus about 27 adult frogs in care and 3 tanks full of metamorphs. Normally we would have a much larger stockpile collected during the summer but we didn't have enough help to get all the special collection buckets ready. Hopefully next summer will be better..... Thanks everyone for your support! In addition to all the expenses we described in this campaign, we have a new and very important one to add to the list. We have been receiving frogs with cancer since April 1999 and we have FINALLY found a researcher who wants to work with us to investigate WHY. But there will be expenses up front that we have to cover. So your donations are even more important than ever. Please share this campaign! Thanks and have a great day.

We are still trying to find a suitable place to go and there will be so many expenses with that when we find one ... but one of the 'biggies' will be that we expect to have to pay a lot more rent. Thanks very kindly to our recent donors - especially those of you who have donated to this appeal before! The frog we received that had been beaten by children is still alive and slowly recovering. It will need surgery though and is going to the vet for that procedure today (Nov 25th). We have a flurry of bills to pay at this time of year and some work still needs to be done on our website so there is much to pay for. Please share our plight. Donations from businesses are tax deductible (sponsorships) so if you know a business owner, please tell them about our work. Happy holidays everyone and safe traveling!

Hi all, Thanks kindly for your donations and appreciation for our work! After we created this campaign to help us with those nasty bills that must be paid, we had the group's car serviced. The mechanic says we need new shock absorbers which will cost a tidy little $1,000. We've been very lucky in that our little car hasn't needed many repairs but when it does need one - crickey!
