If you've ever met Damien, you'll know he is one of the hardest working, kindest human beings on the planet. Just after New Year's Day, 2024, he was rushed to hospital to have life-saving surgery after his bowel perforated. As a result, Damien was unable to work and earn a living for several months. Damien is fiercely independent and never wanted to be a burden on anyone. He had all the insurance in place for this kind of scenario (i.e. income protection), but despite having a letter from his surgeon saying his condition was not pre-existing, his insurance company did not cover him. During a follow up surgery, there were other complications, meaning Damien had to take even longer off work. Due to the large costs associated with all these surgeries and the fact that his insurance hasn't paid him, he's now in financial distress. We're hoping that our clients can dig deep to help this wonderful human being out during what has been an incredibly stressful and difficult time.
