As I approach my 50th birthday this October and embrace the joy of becoming a new Grandma, I’m setting out to show that age truly is just a number. I’m taking on an extraordinary challenge—attempting to set a Guiness world record for the most steps climbed on a stair climber machine in 24 hours. But my journey doesn’t stop there. In the coming months, I’ll be pushing my limits even further. I’m preparing for a natural bodybuilding competition and planning an expedition to summit Island Peak Mountain in Nepal (6189m). These personal goals represent my dedication living life to the fullest and breaking through the barriers often associated with aging. However, this journey is about more than just personal milestones. I’m raising funds to support a few different causes near and dear to my heart. A significant portion of the donations will go to JiREH House. JiREH House is a compassionate crisis accommodation service for women and children in Tasmania. Since the 1980s, Jireh House has provided a safe haven for those escaping domestic violence, thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers guided by their Christian faith. Today, their professional team continues to offer vital support to women and children in need. Today, Jireh House continues this mission, with a dedicated and professional team of staff here to assist women and children experiencing homelessness. DONTATION GOAL: 15K Secondly, I’m working to reinvigorate the I Compete Natural (ICN) Bodybuilding Federation in Tasmania, ensuring that local athletes have the opportunity to shine and compete at their best. DONATION GOAL: 15K In Addition, I will be donating to the children of the Mountains in Nepal that have been heavily affected by the devastation of the 2015 earthquake and are still recovering. Many families are in need of the very basic necessities. DONATION GOAL: 5K Lastly, I’m dedicating a portion of the funds to support my dear high school friend, Jeff Geary and his family in West Virginia. Jeff’s eldest son, Dakota, was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and the family has never had the chance to go on a family vacation.
