Many years ago, I became a statistic, I became a survivor of Domestic Violence along with my young Daughter. Unfortunately, this occurrence is more common than anyone realises. The worst part for me was as a victim I was blamed or judged for staying as long as I did, what people do not realise is that sometimes leaving is scarier than staying.
What my daughter Annabelle, my colleague April and I wish to do is an adventure tree top climb, my daughter and I will be facing our phobia of heights, and April will be there to support us through. This is to symbolise the fear victims feel.
I also wish to bring to light that it is not only women who are victims but also children and even in some cases men.
I wish to do all this while also raising money for this incredible charity called Friends with Dignity who will assist victims start again.
