Since inception in 2006, the Angkor Project has been working with local schools to improve the students learning and their school experience. Some of the achievements of the Angkor Project include:
• The installation of drinking water facilities and toilets has led to a significant increase in female attendance, from 30% to 95%. This positive change has had a major impact on students’ lives
• Purchasing of curriculum material for schools.
• Renovating classrooms, libraries and playgrounds.
• Purchasing desks, chairs, whiteboards and stationery.
• Providing funds to hire English teachers in primary schools.
• Providing the funds for the connection of electricity for lights, fans, computers and printers
• Hosting teaching conferences for Cambodian teachers and leadership training for principals.
• Organising study tours for Western Australian teachers to teach in their sister school.
So if you want to make a big difference in the lives of Cambodian children, their education, their teachers, families and communities, then please consider donating to the Angkor Project fund raising appeal.
