Stand Up for Disability Rights with Melbourne East Disability Advocacy!
Help us reach our goal of $80,000 to empower people with disabilities and fight for their rights!
Melbourne East Disability Advocacy (MEDA) fights tirelessly for the most vulnerable members of our community: people with intellectual or complex disabilities who often face unfair treatment, abuse, exploitation, neglect, and discrimination. They need a voice. And you can be that voice with your support!

The Problem:
MEDA serves 5 local governments in Melbourne's Eastern Region, but with only 2 part-time advocates (38 hours/week total), demand vastly outstrips supply.
Every week, up to 5 people have to wait for advocacy support, and we sadly turn away 6 more.
The Royal Commission provided funding, but now it's closed, leaving a critical gap in resources.
The Solution:
We need YOU to help us raise $80,000 to keep our advocates on the ground, working directly with people with disabilities to:
Empower them to speak up and fight for their rights
Address violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation
Advocate for systemic change and equal opportunities
