In lieu of flowers at the funeral, we invite donations to be made in memory of Sue Rice to The School of St Jude. In memory of Sue Rice, a devoted mother, grandmother, and dedicated physiotherapist. Sue, alongside her late husband Basil, passionately prioritized education for their eight children, instilling values and dreams. Sue, during a kitchen table conversation over 20 years ago, suggested our school’s tagline: Fighting Poverty Through Education. Basil's enduring legacy helped establish the East African Fund and brought Gemma's dream of a school for the underprivileged to life. Your support will honor Sue's commitment to education and continue the Rice's legacy of transforming lives through learning. Join us in remembering and perpetuating their impactful journey.

May Sues memory forever live on while those who loved her continue to speak about her and donate to both incredible causes close to her heart. The typical soul of an Australian country woman, nothing was ever too hard and you always showed such resilience and faith in all you did. An honour to have known her, to have learnt from her and to have cared for her!
