On Monday the 19th February 2024 about 7:20am, our amazing parents left their home in Mt Morgan to go visit one of their great grandson's. This was tragically taken from them by a repeat offender, who fled the accident once he had drove unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured car head on into our parents. While overtaking 2 cars on a double line around a corner. Peter and Dianne, from Mount Morgan, both sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and has been in intensive care unit at Rockhampton hospital since. All of their 6 children have been by their sides the entire time, praying for their recovery. Sadly our mother fought a hard battle on life support for 5 days and peacefully passed away early hours Saturday morning. Leaving our Father still fighting for his life in a critical condition and unaware of the loss of his wife, best friends and soul mate of 52 years. Our mother had been the present of the Mount Morgan Historical Museum for the past 6 years and Peter is known for always helping in the community. The funds will not only be used to help assist in our Dads very long road to recovery, including hospitalization, medical bills and rehabilitation and helping lay our dearest mother to rest.
