About
I was first introduced to Zac Pettit, the Founder of T2KO (Time 2 Know Osteosarcoma), during my involvement in documenting his remarkable 100-kilometer run in the Simpson Desert, a courageous feat undertaken to raise awareness and support for osteosarcoma research.
The inception of T2KO was driven by Zac's deep personal connection to the disease, having lost his best friend to osteosarcoma many years ago. In the face of adversity and personal health challenges, Zac, along with his friends, founded T2KO as a tribute to his late friend and a means to carry forward his legacy.
My collaboration with Zac and the T2KO team has been incredibly inspiring and motivating. Witnessing their dedication and relentless pursuit of a world without osteosarcoma has moved me to take on an ambitious and unthinkable challenge.
I have committed to go from zero to an Ironman in just a few short months, with the goal of completing this demanding endurance race by May 5th, 2024.
This endeavor will be thoroughly documented to shed light on the journey, to inspire others, and demonstrate that anything is achievable with determination and a meaningful cause to drive one forward.
Note: I have absolutely no history of cycling, swimming nor long distance running.
Time to know Osteosarcoma 'T2KO' is a not-for-profit charity focused on combating Osteosarcoma through awareness, conversation and dedication.
T2KO was founded by Zac Pettit in 2021 after he lost his best friend Zane in 2015 at the young age of 19 to Osteosarcoma.
