Kobi-Lee Dyer is already a champion!! She is 17 years old and lives on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
Kobi-Lee is Autistic/non verbal. For her to compete in National and International level athletics, she has joined Sports Inclusion Australia.
Sadly Kobi’s mothers ill health prevents her to travel with Kobi as a support on this journey. Her father is also unable to travel.
Combined family income at at this time makes it extremely hard to fund the trip. I now ask for some support for Kobi to be able to make the most of the opportunity she has been gifted.
She truly deserves this. She has put in so many hours and effort to get this far in her athletic career.
Kobi was invited to join Virtus, and was selected to represent Australia in Brisbane last year. She won Gold running in 100m, 200m, 400m and long jump which is an outstanding effort!
Kobi has now been selected to represent Australia in Vichy, France at the Virtus Global Games.
She feels honoured to be representing our country and needs our support to help her get there. Money raised will go towards flights, accommodation, other transport, uniforms, support team including medical, Physio and games time support.
With funding she will be able to join over 1000 athletes from all over the world. The Virtus Global Games are the most important international competition for elite athletes with intellectual impairment.
The Australian team are all dreaming big about showcasing their abilities, setting world records, winning medals and ultimately qualifying for the Paralympics in Paris 2024.
All the best Kobi-Lee!
