Raising funds for: Kelly Keeling - Vanuatu Disaster Appeal
CYCLE 4 CYCLONE RELIEF We're cycling to raise funds for the rebuilding of Vanuatu, devastated by two recent Category 4 Tropical Cyclones: Judy and Kevin and two earthquakes, leaving many without homes, power, water, and food. We'll donate directly to communities in need distributing funds and supplies. We aim to cycle 200km and raise $5000 through Cycle 4 Cyclone Relief. Join and/or sponsor us. Together to make a difference! Kelly Keeling & Nadia Lovett

ASSESSING THE MAMMAS' HOUSE Charlie from Savvy Solar visited Mele village today. He looked through the Mammas' house (see image) and made an assessment about the positioning of the solar panel, the charging posts and the power points. It is hoped that these commodities will potentially provide women further opportunities to connect with others and raise funds by creating artifacts and garmets to sell. Thanks all you donated to the cause.

POWER FOR THE MAMAS MEETING PLACE Savvy Solar have given us a quote for a panel, some lights and charging points. We also hope to add a power point as well. Mary from the village let us know that generally the women get together at the Mamas meeting place to chat, create and host dignitaries. Having power will enable the women to sew and create crafts at any time. This will provide additional earning opportunities.

MEET MARY.. Mary is one of the spokeswomen I met during my visit to Mele village. She is a well respected member of the community. Mary spoke with me and Kelly about the solar lights that were installed. She said the women now would feel more comfortable and safe to walk around the village streets at night as in the past the women and children stayed indoors after dark. Thanks to all who contributed. Your donations have made a difference to the lives of women and children.
