A Family of 8 and friends wanting to simply "Do Something" to help "Mates in Construction WA", continue their work in mental health support for the WA Construction Industry. With over 190 Construction Workers take their life in Australia each year, the Howard Family decided to walk over the 190kms from Merredin to Mundaring Weir in October 2023. Walking beside WA's most ambitious construction project of its time, The Goldfields Pipeline which provides water to Kalgoolie, also claimed the life of the man who's vision made it possible, Chief Engineer, CY O'Connor. A fitting walk therefore to raise much needed funds for an issue affecting so many families each year.
