This year in 2023, at just 8 years old, I founded Z and M Co., a small but mighty initiative dedicated to supporting women, especially mothers, in the field of brain cancer research. Each year, I team up with someone new to amplify our impact. Mila Cost is my business partner for 2023. Together, we are going to make a difference!!!! The funds will go to the Australian Brain Cancer Foundation, who will earmark them for a donation to the Australian National University, for the Zara Skepev Fund for Women in Brain Cancer Research Some Brain Cancer Facts: Brain cancer affects one in four children who are diagnosed with cancer. It is the deadliest cancer for children. Each year, almost half a million people are diagnosed with brain cancer, globally. Currently, there is little understanding of how brain cancers form, or what factors influence About Professor Quinn: Professor Leonie Quinn began her journey after completing her PhD studies in Adelaide. She started her lab at the University of Melbourne, before relocating to the Australian National University in 2016. Since then, her research has focused on discovering the underlying factors of brain cancer.
