We are the Merton Aquaholics, we love to swim, and we passionately believe that education is key to changing lives.
The Merton Aquaholics are made up of Alex Afshar, Sandra Gates, Jane Ireland, and Ben Hamer and together we are swimming in the U24, an Ultra marathon swim of 24 km from Safety Beach to Sorrento.
We want to make our swim and our training mean something, so we are using this event to raise awareness and funding for disadvantaged children’s tuition fees in Iran.
We believe all children should have equal access to opportunities, without limits or restrictions. Our goal is to make education a reality rather than just a distant dream for disadvantaged children and their families.
