About

Hey Cats’ supporters! How would you like to see your flag flying high in the Himalayas?? What a great way to celebrate our team and live our mission to be the greatest team of all: a club people can be proud of because of how we play the game, live our lives, conduct business and engage with the community.through supporting Jen's climb for a cure for MS Research.

Ama Dablam is 6812m high, an incredibly challenging mountain to climb, and as a thank you for our support, Jen will carry our flag up to the summit with her.

From Jen:

Hi! My name is Jen Willis. I’m 50 years old, a single mum to three wonderful humans, I have Multiple Sclerosis and I'm dedicated to helping the almost 2 million people living with MS worldwide by fundraising for MS research.

In October I am travelling on a 51-day expedition to the Himalayas where I will summit Mera Peak (6476m) and then the spectacular and technical mountain, Ama Dablam (6812m) to raise money for MS Research Australia and the Trish MS Research Foundation.

I'm relying upon aligned and compassionate people to support my journey and this cause by donating to MS Research and I would deeply value your support!
Please visit my website to learn more about my story, about MS, and about this fundraiser: www.helpcurems.com

My hope is to raise $60,000 for MS research, but all donations, no matter how small will help make a big difference!!

Having MS has motivated me to get going and realise my childhood dream of becoming a mountaineer, and through this amazing adventure and by raising funds to help others, I am also finding a great sense of purpose in living with MS.

Thank you so very much for playing an important role in this journey!

The Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation (ABN 22 089 078 464) was inspired by Trish Langsford who, having lost her battle with multiple sclerosis, passed away at the age of 30.

The Foundation was established with the specific goal of finding a cure or preventive strategy for multiple sclerosis. Trish’s parents made a promise to her that they would not give up in the pursuit of the Trish Foundation’s goal. Please see below for more about Trish.

In contrast to a number of other charities, the Foundation is staffed by a team of dedicated, unpaid volunteers and every dollar raised is placed into research. The Directors of the Foundation cover the administrative expenses.
