The Zonta Club of Bendigo is raising funds to allow us to pack 2000 birthing kits at a cost of $10,000. This MyCause fundraiser is aiming to raise at least half the total sum with the club running film nights and other social fundraising activities to reach our target by the packing day on October 1st 2022. Each birthing kit helps us to provide a clean safe birth environment for women/ girls and their babies and thus saves many lives. Use of the kits reduces infections and serious preventable complications from these infections. This year the Birthing Kit Foundation has ensured the plastic used is biodegradable. The kits will be assembled by club members and community volunteers and distributed to over 30 developing countries, furthering Zonta’s work as a global service organisation.
