Brisbane Flood Emergency Clean Up and Rescue

A huge thanks to everyone who has donated towards our endeavours to clean up the waterways of SE Queensland. We are in full swing and we have been ultra busy. Boat load after boat load of debris is being removed.
On the government funding side of things, Noosa Council has employed us for 2 days with our vacuum on Perigian Beach over the next 2 days and other than that, we are hearing crickets. Yep, nothing. There are some possibilities in the pipeline, but they are just that, possibilities.
Until then, we are relying on the community to continue to donate to keep us out there.
So if you can share this with your networks, we need to get as much funding as possible to ensure we don't spend days on shore.

We livaboard our sailboat on the brisbane river and made the last minute decision to leave the river on Friday night on the 25th. We are so fortunate. So many neighbours lost their homes or sustained damage. We have participated with ocean crusaders in clean ups in the past and SO APPRECIATE what you are doing now. Logistically we are not able to return to the river at the moment and are not able to lend a hand cleaning the river, but we will do our part where we are currently anchored. Thank you ?
