After a suggestion from some good friends, I am passing around the hat. I have many people asking when I will release more music and at this point it is hard to answer. I have narrowed it down to two songs and 2 marvellous musicians, Billy and Dan, lined up to lay down the tracks. I have also fronted some of the costs already. Unfortunately I do not have the finances, and these days there is no clear reimbursement as an unsigned artist and two little kids to provide for. While my songs receive a number of plays across platforms - this does not pay as most of us choose to stream rather than buy and download tracks. Those who follow my music have always been incredibly supportive, encouraging and generous. So I am asking if you can give up a few beers or coffees to chip in for a local artist. If we can raise the funds, I reckon I can cover costs of musicians, final mix and distribution for 2 songs. If I receive more, I can record a third and fourth song! I have 4 demos I am dying to record and put out there. So please do not feel guilted into this. If you have asked me recently to get recording, or wondered why I haven't - I guess this is your answer. It was wonderful to have received the financial support to record and release those fire songs last year. Every little bit counts and with a bit of support - these tunes may be in your world over coming months.
