I acknowledge that I am walking on the traditional lands of the Darug and Gundungurra people and pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Support me as I walk 10,000 steps everyday for 100 days to raise funds and awareness for the Colong Foundation for Wilderness (Give A Dam)! Our government wants to raise the Warragamba Dam 14-17 metres. If this goes ahead, up to 4,700 hectares of precious World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Parks would be underwater for up to five weeks at a time. This would create potentially irreparable damage to 48 threatened plant and animal species (including the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater), ancient river valleys, rare dry rainforests and hundreds of Indigenous cultural sites. Your kind donation will go towards protecting these areas. Don't just sit on the sidelines! One step at a time we can make a difference. Hiya everyone! Coming to you from day 91. Only 10 days to go! Yes, I said ten. One day, a little while ago, I only made it to 9,696 steps. It was raining and cold and I thought I had gotten the 10 but forgot to check. Anyway, I've decided to do an extra day as compensation. Hope you're all doing well! :)

Hey guys! I'm on day 81! Wow, we're almost there. Guess what? My new friends at Give A Dam have just published an interview with me about my cause. I just want to thank them (and you) for supporting me on my walking endeavour. If you want to check it out please do so in the link bellow and feel free to share! https://www.colongwilderness.org.au/never_too_young_to_make_a_difference?utm_campaign=wilderness_tales_02_ig&utm_medium=email&utm_source=wildrivers I've just come back from Sydney and am finding that urban walking is much different to bushwalking. I'm absorbed by the diversity of people and places but I also can't help but feel blue for the rivers that were here before this land was built upon. Imagine if we could restore the rivers and let them roam through our cities. Imagine if the most densely populated places around the world were injected with wild native spaces. They could be places to educate and foster the all important connection to land. After all, without a connection to land we are unable to feel empathy for it and furthermore won't feel compelled to act on its behalf. Cities are in desperate need of rewilding! I don't know about you, but that's what I think.

Heyyy! Sorry it's been so long between updates! Here's a pic of proof of all my steps, I just use my phone to record them. Today's day 42. Woop! Almost half way there. It's been an extremely wet month. Gee Wiz. I'm not going to lie, sometimes I really just want a lift home... but we persist! I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who's donated so far!! Honestly, I'm so grateful for your help. It would be incredibly sad if this was all in vain. Only $90 until we reach $1000! How amazing is that?! So, thank you and spread the word and I hope you're having a wonderful day because you deserve it. P.S. don't forget to make a submission to the EIS!

Hello! It's day 28 of the 100 day challenge! Here's a funny/strange pic of me in the bush that mum took. You can't tell but I have my camera on me and that day I took lots of videos of new fern shoots. They're so magical! I'm compiling them into a video which I will share with you soon. Until then, take care and donate and make a submission to the EIS at https://www.giveadam.org.au/submission Live your values!

Hi people! I'm on day 17 of my 100 day challenge! Sorry for the lack of updates but to catch you up I've gotten an impressive blister on my heel, been drenched on the way home from school and almost blown away by wind. It seems the elements are out to get me haha. Anyway, here's a photo from when I actually went to Warragamba last week. I promise to post more here from now on. Got to go though, those steps won't walk themselves. - Tegan

Tegan. You have walked with care, respect and determination. You have kept your resolve and walked every day - through rain and heat, going out late if needed. Awesome!
