You can help secure fresh, visionary leadership for Bayside Council!
The Peaceful Bayside community group is running three Independent candidates:
Heidi Lee Douglas - Imroze Ali - Joyce Campbell
Let's work together to create a better Bayside, focusing on: - Safer streets - Family-friendly, inclusive neighbourhoods - Support for local business and residents - Protecting and advocating for vulnerable people of all ages - Sustainability and well-managed green spaces - Development that preserves heritage and embraces design that complements community and environmental needs - Community consultation and transparency.
We all love Bayside and our track record shows we will work with you to make Bayside better!
And right now we urgently need your help, so we can better represent you on Council!
The sudden COVID-19 lockdown in Sydney means we can't door-knock, hold face-to-face info-stalls or hold fundraising events in person. Instead we must intensely leaflet drop our local neighbourhoods, to get the right information into the hands of you and your neighbours - so you know what you can vote for!
Because voting is your secret super power!
Can you help us print 40,000 extra flyers, plus how to vote cards, posters and signs?
Every single dollar you donate builds our community campaign to better represent you on Bayside Council!
OUR TRACK RECORD Our team already has a track record of delivering on local issues. Peaceful Bayside has been working hard to push Council and police to deal with and respond to our local hooning and dangerous driving issues across all of Bayside more effectively.
We have had great results already, but it’s not enough. We will be able to bring about real change once elected to Council.
We have listened to what your concerns are and so our mission is now focused on making Bayside:
Peaceful Bayside is proud to be a true grass-roots democracy group of people, who have come together because we love our community. We have a deep understanding of our Bayside community - who we are and what people want to see done. We are solutions focused, and understand what a big impact a good local council can have on our everyday lives. Sadly, we know residents and businesses feel ignored by our council and many councillors.
On council, we will help Bayside businesses be more prosperous, through initiatives like Renew Bayside, a program which would see empty shop fronts rented to new creative business owners, to support our creative community and reinvigorate our shopping areas. Supporting more large scale community and cultural events in Bayside will also help our economy, and bring together our neighbouring communities.
Help us to make positive change.
