I am raising funds for Buddy, 4.5 yr old Bulldog X that the council ceased from a violent owner where Buddy was mistreated but also bullied and attacked by other dogs , like a bait dog . Buddy suffered from a lot of bite scars, he is underweight, he has conjunctivitis on his eyes and also bad arthritis, entropion and dermatitis/skin issue. He needs special food that will support his bones due to his arthritis. He will need long term management of his arthritis through regular vet check and supplements. Beyond just the physical health issues , Buddy's soul is also broken. He is sad, he walks with his tail tucked in and his head down. Buddy wet himself whenever he is approach by someone he doesn't know. His past life's trauma is controlling his quality of life. It will take sometime before Buddy can trust humans and dogs again. I have been able to get Buddy out from a shelter into a loving foster family so at least Buddy can sleep better at night. I spent $400 to get Buddy some supplies such as food, bedding , etc. The fund raised here will be used for Buddy's physical health treatments mentioned above and also for healing his soul so he can be a happy dog again by slowly introducing him to the big world through positive guidance and build his confidence 1 day at a time whilst providing him with food, vet treatment and medicine needed to get him healthier up to the point where he is ready to find his forever loving family. Estimated to cost around $2500 across the next 4-6 weeks . Why am I asking for help? I am doing this out of my own pocket , out of my love for dogs. I have 3 rescue dogs myself at home. I used my savings to help some of these dogs reach their true potential and find a forever loving home. I also help the adopters by teaching them how to train their rescue dog and give them guidance on what to expect from their rescue dog from week 1 to month 3 and so on. I recently traveled 600km , across 9 hours to rehome a dog , ensuring the dog goes to the right forever home. The animal rehoming group I am helping is a very small organisation , barely has enough donations from public to buy supplies for animals in their care so here I am asking for your help so I can help Buddy and also other dogs like Buddy for many years to come ?
