22-year-old Jayden Penno-Tompsett was travelling from Newcastle to Cairns for a New Year’s Eve party with friends.
On 31 December 2017, he reportedly walked away from his travelling companion into a paddock to clear his head after an argument, in the remote far-north-Queensland town of Charters Towers. He has not been seen since, and no trace of him has ever been found, despite an exhaustive search.
An Inquest in May 2021 ruled that Jayden perished due to exposure to extreme heat, however many details in this case are controversial and inconsistent.
We are raising money to hire a Private Investigator to look at several angles not yet explored, and also to facilitate a further search of the area using cadaver dogs.
