Raising funds for: Radhika, Krishnapriya, Nitin Pullat & Anu Nair - Sending funds to India
India is battling a devastating second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected the rich and the poor alike. Hospitals across the country are turning away patients after running out of medical oxygen and beds. People are dying while waiting to see doctors as the second wave of the coronavirus rapidly evolves into a devastating crisis. WHO WE ARE? **Radhika, 14, and Krishnapriya, 10 - We live in Toowoomba (QLD). Encouraged by our loving mum, Divya and dad, Sid Bhardwaj, we followed our passion of feeding the needy and poured in our hearts to cook more than 10000 during 2019 bushfire and when COVID struck our community in early 2020. The community responded graciously to our efforts and we were the recipients of Toowoomba District Young Citizens of the Year award (youngest in the history of Australia) on Australia Day 2021 and at present one of the nominees for an The Medal of the Order of Australia (would be youngest in the Australian history, if successful). **Nitin Pullat - Engineer working for a government regulatory body. Living in Melbourne and married to **Anu Nair - Anti Money Laundering Officer working for the BIG 4 banks in Australia. Mother of two loving kids :) We have always responded to emergencies both here in Australia and in India, their motherland, including organising a positive campaign 2.5 years ago for providing disaster relief for the Kerala floods (https://www.mycause.com.au/page/183582). WHAT WE DO? We are launching this fundraising to assist those in need over there in India. The funds raised here will be used to: • oxygen concentrators, • procure oxygen cylinders, and flow meters, • additional healthcare supplies and • nutritious meals to the needy Each 10L capacity oxygen concentrator costs around $ 1000 and 5L costing around $500 which can be used only by one person at a time. We are requesting you all to kindly sponsor a 5L or 10 L from your family to the needy. YOUR DONATIONS/ EQUIPMENT WILL GO ONLY TO VERIFIED SMALL GROUPS OR CHARITIES WHO ARE RUNNING COVID-19 CRISIS RELIEF PROGRAMS RIGHT NOW. Thank you. Love and Peace Radhika & Krishnapriya, Nitin & Anu.

15/07/2021 Dear all, The pandemic in India is far from over. Through your support we were able to provide over 3000 meals to people in remote villages and tribal areas of Maharashtra, approximately 3 hours from Mumbai. Here most of the population is below poverty line surviving on daily wages and is heavily impacted with the lack of basic needs in absence of work. Our funds were disbursed to Govardhan Annakshetra is working with Maharashtra Government for supplying meals in the tribal areas and villages of Wada, Talasari and Vasai in Maharashtra. Every day the meals are cooked in the Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV) kitchen building. The meals are then transported and distributed by the government officials in various places as per the requirements. I have attached a copy of the appreciation letter received. Thank you all once again for your support. Yours Sincerely Nitin Pullat

12/06/21 Dear all, I have some more good news to share ! Two of the oxygen concentrators that we bought from Hong Kong were sent to Alpha Palliative Care centre in Kerala who were in desperate need to provide in-house care to their terminally ill patients and relatives suffering from COVID related illness. We had also bought 5 nos Oximeters as which helps measure the blood oxygen levels; these Oximeter were received on 29 May and concentrators were received on 4 June. They were immediately put to use to help needy people with breathing difficulties. I have attached a copy of the appreciation letter received. Thank you all once again. Without your support this mission wouldn't have been possible. Yours Sincerely Nitin Pullat

09/06/2021 Dear all, Thank you all so much for supporting the cause. We would like to provide our first update regarding the disbursement of funds. At the peak of pandemic in India, considering the urgency, we chipped in initial funding of $10100 even before the fundraiser was started, I started to liaise with global agents to procure oxygen concentrators. The price of these machines had already gone up by 1.5 - 2 times at the factory outlets in China. On 13 May 21 , we paid a verified distributor in Hong Kong to ship concentrators to Delhi. Our trusted NGO - Distress Management Collective India received the oxygen concentrators on 24 Jun and immediately dispatched three of these machines to patient homes across Delhi. I am posting our first letter of acknowledgement from the NGO. Yours Sincerely Nitin Pullat
