NSW Farmers has launched a Flood Appeal through its Natural Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) to assist farmers with recovery efforts from a one-in -a-hundred year weather event. 100% of the donations will go to supporting farming families and farming communities in the affected regions. The Fund provides financial assistance, goods or services, to primary producers adversely affected by flooding to ensure that they can continue to operate their farms whilst they are dealing with or recovering from the Natural Disaster. Farmers have reported unprecedented flood events in area such as the mid north coast and Sydney Basin and have experienced significant damage to crops, pastures, infrastructure and oyster leases and livestock losses. The impact of this damage is likely to extend into the hundreds of millions of dollars. NSW Farmers is the voice of farmers in NSW. Our members come from every aspect of the farming sector. We are an advocacy group for the farming sector, championing the rights of farmers and rural communities at all levels of government and with industry stakeholders.
