About
A long held dream of mine has to been to visit Nepal and trek to the base of this majestic mountain, Everest. To experience this challenge with a team of women walking and working side by side and showing we can make positive change is an honor. All porters and guides for this trip are women, generating much needed employment for local village girls and women. All money raised for this trek will be used to set up a women's training and employment facility in Kathmandu. It will be a space for the most vulnerable women ( women with a disability, single mum's and women who are survivors of human trafficking). Many women from remote villages are unable to return to their village due to stigma which leads them to isolation and poverty. Take on Nepal is a tourist organisation that supports and employs female porters and guides only thus empowering women and providing much needed employment for them.
Friends of Himalayan Children is a humanitarian organisation working in rural Nepalese communities and in Kathmandu. Our aim is to improve the lives of vulnerable women and children in Nepal through better access to education, and through educational programs and community development projects.

I know one day I will achieve my dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. Until then I'll keep donating to my cause. The women and children of Nepal still need help, whether I'm trekking or not. ?

In September 2020 I'll be taking part in an all women's trek to Everest Base Camp with Take on Nepal. Hoping in some small way my fundraising can assist the vulnerable women and children of Nepal.
