John Rhodes has been a volunteer bushfire fighter for over 20 years. He is the current voluntary President of the Stoneville Volunteer Bushfire Brigade. John's mobile firefighting unit was used to save properties in the 2014 fire that burned through Stoneville, Parkerville and Mt Helena. John ensures his neighbours know how to use the unit, even leaving instructions with it in the case of an emergency.
The mobile firefighting unit was recently stolen from John's home, and the bushfire season is rapidly approaching. The unit has been found by police, stripped of parts, ruined and dumped out bush.
Can you help? Money raised will help John replace the mobile unit. Every dollar will count.
Let's help those who help us. Thank you.
This campaign is being coordinated by a member of the Perth hills community who is a client of John's boarding kennel where her beloved dog is cared for beautifully.
