Choc's Battle

Our one and only Paul, aka Choc, a 39 year old loving husband and father, was recently elated at the news that he and his wife Amie, 3 year old daughter Paige and 16 month old son Ari, were expecting a third addition to their budding family. But before he could even blink, let alone celebrate, he went for a jog at soccer training and coughed up a small amount of blood. Being in the best shape he’s been in for 10 years, a precautionary trip to the GP led him to the hospital and then onto some shocking news. Paul was diagnosed with cancer in his chest and lungs, over 30 tumours in all.

Utterly devoted to his amazing wife and kids, he’s a caring brother and son, an ever reliable mate, an encouraging coach; he’s all these and more to a huge amount of people whose lives he’s already touched in so many ways.

The outpouring of emotion, support and good wishes from everybody so far has been overwhelming and makes a massive difference in this fight of all fights. Paul is truly blessed to have so many family and friends that care about him so much. Now with Paul unable to work and Amie pregnant with their third child and having to give up her part time work to help look after him, anything we can give to help them keep on top of their ongoing expenses and extensive medical bills will be of enormous assistance.
