The Thompson family were unlucky to have had a child with wiskott - aldrich syndrome, who went through a bone Marrow Transplant in 2004,wiskott -aldrich syndrome is a primary immundefiencey which causes bleeding, bruising, due to very low platelet levels. Sadly in September 2004, Brendan who was only 8 had a brain haemorage & passed away. Now they have the devestating news of their youngest son kieren who is only 7 being diagnosed with a rare brain cancer tumor - "called Rhabdomysarcom". Only three people world wide have had this very rare tumor.
Kieren is undergoing 23 rounds of radiation therapy at the moment has has just started his first found of chemo.
The family have been hit with so much bad luck over the past few months, the family car also blew up it's engine and they are stuggling to keep it together mentally, emotionally, and fiancially. They need to save up to fix their van back on the road as Kieren has a wheel.
Hopefully we can come together as a community to help a struggling local family with a very sick little boy.
