On 22nd August I will be saying goodbye to a feature that has characterised my appearance for the last 10 years - my dreadlocks - by taking the guard off the clippers and shaving my head to a no.0. I am fairly nervous about this dramatic change and comforting myself with the knowledge that it is for a great cause.
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre do some fabulous work for asylum seekers living in the community, through their aid, justice and empowerment programs. They are an organisation for whom I have much respect and would love to be able to support, by raising funds.
Please help support this wonderful human rights organisation and make my scary head-shave all worthwhile by donating. Donate extra if you think I'm brave for doing it in the middle of winter!
Update: It's all gone! I am happy to say that I have a fairly regular-shaped cranium and it doesn't look too bad. It's certainly cold though! I'm very happy and grateful that so much has been raised - thank you so much to everyone for your generous contributions! xxx
