In 2014, Lawrence Mooney and Fiona O'Loughlin appeared on The Little Dum Dum Club podcast together. It was an open and honest discussion about suicide and depression that went on to become the most downloaded episode of the podcast ever. We were inundated with messages from people telling us how much they loved the episode, including a number of extremely touching ones telling us that the episode had helped them through a dark time. (If you're interested, you can listen here: http://littledumdumclub.com/?p=1108)
Lawrence and Fiona have since returned three times, and now we're kick-starting June Northern - a month of fundraising for Beyond Blue, to help people cope with depression and anxiety.
We've spent a lot of time joking about these issues on the podcast, to try and humanise them, and make people feel better and less alone about their own feelings. But for this month, we thought it'd be cool if people got involved and donated some money to this very worthwhile cause.
