We can all play a part in making our roads safer
Shine a Light on Road Safety is a campaign to raise awareness, to stop deaths and injuries on our roads and to raise funds to support those impacted by road trauma.

Walk for Road Safety
Join us at 11am on Sunday 15 May at Jells Park, Mount Waverley for our Shine a Light on Road Safety community walk.
Tickets are just $15 an individual, $20 per family or $50 for a team.
You can register at the walk on the day but to make it faster register online now.
It's a short walk (2km and 5km options) with entertainment and a BBQ afterwards.
We encourage you to ask your family and friends to come along or to sponsor you for the walk. For some participants a fundraising page in memory of a loved one or friend is a meaningful way to honour their life and help others. By sharing your fundraising page your family and friends can donate online and leave a personal message. Your donors will receive a thank you and a tax deductible receipt straight away.
Make a difference
The aim of this event is to raise awareness and much needed funds for RTSSV. The first Shine a Light on Road Safety community walk was held in 2014 and in the last two years more than $30,000 has been raised to support our work.
Here’s how your support helps.
-
$5 will help provide a family with information and support after a road crash
-
$20 will help cover the phone charges of an hour of confidential counselling
-
$60 can provide an art therapy session to a person impacted by road trauma
