Play-Wel for Mai-Wel is a fun corporate sports day for local businesses to get involved and show their support for The Mai-Wel Group.

Held on Thursday 6th November, at Maitland Indoor Sports Centre, the day will consist of 16-20 teams playing a round robin of one game each in four different indoor sports – Soccer, Netball, Cricket, and Volleyball.

Teams who have registered for the event are invited to raise a minimum of $500 each for their team. Prizes will be awarded to the teams and individuals who raise the most amount of money, together with the team who takes out the sporting challenge.

As well as an opportunity to get out of the everyday corporate environment and engage in some fun, physical activity, Play-Wel for Mai-Wel represents endless networking opportunities.

Monies raised from Play-Wel will be allocated to a Domestic Skills Hub which will provide a space for people with a disability, who want to become more independent, to experience a realistic experience of living away from home.

The Mai-Wel Group has a strong 50 + year history and is;

The Mai-Wel Group employs more than 360 support and administrative staff and 100 supported employees within our Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE’s) and our mission carries throughout the organisation, from management, staff and on to our service users.

Throughout the years the tireless efforts of community groups, families and individuals have seen these humble beginnings develop into the independent organisation that exists today.
