JOIN THIS CAUSE AIMING TO MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF DOGS, THEIR OWNERS AND OUR COMMUNITY BY JOINING OUR CHARITY DOG WALK

‘Paws For A Cause’ aims to make a positive difference to the lives of dogs, their owners and our communities through increasing awareness and education around responsible dog ownership. The initiative was founded by Michelle McClurg in 2014 due to a personal passion in this area. Michelle strongly believes that if a suitable breed and energy level of dog is properly matched with owners capable of fulfilling the dogs needs on a daily basis, then the population of homeless dogs will be significantly reduced. Getting the dog and owner match right from the start will also result in dog owners feeling completely fulfilled with happy, loving and obedient dogs as members of their families, for life. Which in turn will create greater community safety around dog ownership.

The 'Paws For A Cause’ team are running a campaign to fundraise $20,000 for SADS (Save A Dog Scheme). SADS have been a leader in the ‘no kill’ movement since 1985, they work steadfastly for change from a culture of killing companion animals to a culture of saving them. 

We invite all members of the public to participate in our inaugural dog walk. Cost to participate is $35 per dog with the net proceeds raised to go directly to SADS. If you would like to make a donation as well as participate in the walk, the option to do this is there as you register. There are one of three start times to choose from, starting at 10am, and each walk will be 1 hour in total. 

Registrations are limited to 300 dogs only so click on the 'REGISTER NOW' above to be sure to secure your place and avoid disappointment.

You will receive a FREE bandana that your dog must wear on the day of the walk to qualify to participate. Please read details regarding this very carefully in the terms and conditions section as this bandana must be collected from My Pet Warehouse (MPW), SOUTH YARRA between 28/11/14 - 6/12/14. For those that can't get to MPW by the 6/12/14 you can collect your bandana at Como Park. Please come 10-15mins earlier than your registration time to do this.
