The NSW and ACT Twitchathon is a unique blend of friendly competition and community fundraising, where teams race against the clock to spot as many bird species as possible while raising money for bird research in NSW and the ACT. Twitchathon has been running for 30 years. Join the fun!

We're taking part in the 2026 NSW & ACT Twitchathon!

The Twitchathon is a fun birding challenge with a serious purpose: raising money for bird conservation and research in NSW and the ACT.

This year, funds raised will support research into NSW's declining Little Penguin populations, using automated monitoring technology to better understand breeding birds and improve population estimates.

Please support our team and help us turn a day of birding into real conservation outcomes!
