The Colorectal Champions Auxiliary champions specialised colorectal care at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Children born with anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease and other complex bowel conditions, including severe chronic constipation, require expert surgery from birth and need coordinated, lifelong support to manage faecal incontinence. These conditions carry profound medical, emotional and social impact, yet remain under-recognised in funding priorities and deeply stigmatised in the community. The taboo surrounding bowel dysfunction means many families feel unable to speak openly, reinforcing isolation and understanding.
As part of the wider RCH Auxiliary network, we are raising vital funds to support the Hospital’s complex colorectal service.
Your support will help sustain clinical excellence, advance research and confront the stigma surrounding complex colorectal conditions - aligning with the RCH Foundation’s mission: one team working towards one goal - making sick kids better.
