The Australian Sikh Community is proud to host the 38th Australian Sikh Games in Melbourne from 3–5 April 2026. As one of the largest multicultural sporting events in Australia, the Sikh Games bring together over 7,500 athletes and more than 120,000 spectators from across the country and around the world to celebrate sport, culture, and community spirit.
🪶 Sikh Spirit of Giving
"Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala"
(With optimism, humility, and in service of all humanity)
Rooted in the Sikh principles of Seva (Selfless service) and Sarbat da Bhala (Welfare of all), the Sikh community is proud to introduce a new charitable initiative at the 2026 Games — a partnership with The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation to support the “Sponsor a Bed” campaign. Through this initiative, we aim to raise vital funds to help provide world-class care for over 45,000 children treated at The RCH each year.
Supporting the Kelpie Ward
Funds raised will directly support the Kelpie Ward, a 32-bed inpatient unit dedicated to children and adolescents aged 5 to 20 who are living with acute and chronic health conditions. The ward provides comprehensive, family-centred care through a multidisciplinary team that delivers medical treatment, emotional support, advocacy, and education. It specialises in:
• Supporting patients with eating disorders under the Adolescent Medicine team
• Caring for cancer patients in collaboration with the Children’s Cancer Centre
• Administering chemotherapy and responding to oncology emergencies such as febrile neutropenia
• Providing paediatric rehabilitation to help young people regain mobility, self-care, and communication skills following major illness, injury, or procedures.
Your Impact
The Kelpie Ward’s holistic and integrated approach ensures that every young patient receives coordinated, compassionate, and goal-focused care.
Your generosity will help:
• Improve clinical outcomes
• Enhance emotional wellbeing
• Support families through recovery
• Empower children and adolescents to rebuild their lives with confidence and hope
➡️ Donate Now | 💙 Every child deserves care, hope, and healing.
This is a powerful opportunity for our community to come together in the true spirit of Seva to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families who need it most.
