I am taking on the Steps for Stories challenge to raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), an organisation that provides culturally relevant books and literacy resources to children in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.
In many of these Communities, access to libraries or bookstores is limited or non-existent, making it difficult for children to develop strong literacy skills. The ILF is Community-led, responding directly to local needs. Their work supports children to read in their First Language, helping to foster a strong sense of identity, culture, and belonging.
I am walking 125,000 steps in 8 days to raise $500, and I would love your support. Every donation helps provide books, support Community publishing, and bring the joy of reading to children who need it most.
Please consider sponsoring my steps—every dollar counts!
Nice work Belle!
