I am raising money for Wizo’s Sponsor a Child program which helps kids in Israel who have witnessed abuse at home and are traumatised by it. It costs on average, AU$1,000 per year to sponsor one child. I am aiming for this target and will donate any extra money raised to Wizo to help them provide emergency relief during this war. The Sponsor A Child Program provides an individualised educational approach; outstanding after-school enrichment programs, including arts, sports, computer skills; and a range of therapies, including pet therapy, speech therapy, counselling and psychologists. Sponsor A Child provides a holistic approach to the healthy growth and development of each child, including assistance for parents who are struggling to cope for a range of reasons, including poverty, domestic violence, single parenthood, mental health issues, and disabilities.
