Cancer In Kids @The RCH, better known as CIKA, was founded in 1980 by three sets of parents whose children had died from a solid cancerous tumour. It is a volunteer organization composed of parents and friends of children who have been diagnosed and treated for a solid cancerous tumour.
Since its inception, all fundraising has been dedicated to raising community awareness of childhood cancer and investing in clinical research that will provide world class treatment and care to provide the best possible outcomes.
CIKA has raised over $4.5 million since 1980 and ALL monies have been applied to clinical research within the Children’s Cancer Centre at The RCH and at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
