Thanks for reading and hopefully supporting this great cause.
I was meant to do this Ironman event in 2023 but had a bike accident and then last year managed to get malaria which again delayed. Finally I am good to go in 2025 on May 4th.
Like many of you we have been touched by cancer. In our case over the last years we have had our family and friends affected by Lymphoma. This includes my younger brother Arturo who was diagnosed in 2023 with Lymphoma. Fortunately with the great support from the Prince of Wales medical staff Turo underwent chemotherapy and has made a full recovery. In 2023 we lost Tracey’s mum, Jill Flanagan from Lymphoma only 2 months after being diagnosed.
I would like to dedicate my participation in the Ironman Port Macquarie on May 4th towards raising much needed money that goes directly to making sure there are Lymphoma specialist nurses to support patients through these difficult times.
For those that do not know the Ironman is a triathlon that covers
3.8km Swim
180km Bike
42.2km Run
It will take me about 12 hours to complete (hopefully a little less) and I would truly appreciate any support you can provide.
