I am walking/running 10km each day for the month of march to raise money and awareness for Melanoma research.
It will be tough doing that distance each day but that struggle is nothing compared to the mental and physical hardships a melanoma patient is faced with on being diagnosed.
I was diagnosed with stage 3a melanoma in 2016 (the melanoma had spread to my lymph nodes) , after giving birth to our 3rd child. It was meant to be a happy time , but instead I had become a cancer patient overnight. I had 2 surgeries immediately than 12 months of cancer treatment followed. 5 years of surveillance brain and body scans have continued and thankfully to this point all has been clear.
