RoCan 2022 starts on Saturday 19th of March 2022 in Warragul & takes the 34 riders & 6 support crew to towns such as Traralgon, Foster, Inverloch & Cowes before finishing back in Warragul on Friday 25th. Simon Maddison & I have mapped out & "reconed" short & long courses for each of the first 6 days with a combined course on the final day. For the first time in the history of the event we have incorporated Rail Trails into most routes. These include the Grand Ridge Rail Trail, the Great Southern Rail Trail & the Nyora to Wonthaggi Rail Trail. Long Courses are between 120 & 140K whilst the Short Courses are 100 or less Kilometres long. I am aiming to ride the long courses. This will be my thirteenth year riding & fundraising for "ROCAN" charity initiatives. 100% of all donations go to the "Cause" as riders & the support crew cover all costs associated with running the 7 day event. This year the funds raised will go towards providing accommodation facilities for regional cancer patients & their families/support people during their visits to Melbourne for treatment.
