Dream of a Safe Haven (DASH) in Kalamata is one of the largest dog shelters in Greece. Many of the dogs rescued have survived unspeakable abuse and neglect. For them, DASH is indeed a safe haven from the brutal life they encountered on the streets. 100% of the money raised on this page will go to DASH. The currency is Australian dollars. So $50 is approximately 30 euros. We are participating in the 10th Penny Marathon on Sunday 11 July 2021 to (1) raise awareness of the plight of suffering animals and (2) acknowledge and honour the hard work of volunteers who fight to save their lives, like the DASH founder, Katerina Pesonis.
