I am excited that I will be taking on the Tour of Australia during August. I will be exercising daily and will slowly make my way around Australia virtually! I will log my daily KM's and see how far I can go around!

Sadly, 1 in 4 young people experience bullying which can adversely affect the psychological and physical health of a person. That is approximately 800,000 children in Australia. In addition, approximately one in five school students reported experiencing online bullying in any one year and up to 100,000 school children stay home each day because they feel unsafe.

There Is recent research to suggest that cyberbullying has increased during the COVID period as more young people access online services for social use and remote learning.

Research has shown that victims of bullying report more severe anxiety symptoms than others. Being bullied is also linked to social anxiety, which often lasts into adulthood and increases the risk of developing personality disorders. Depression is another negative consequence of bullying, which might lead to suicidal ideation and even suicide attempts.

Bully Zero is empowered and committed to putting a stop to bullying, whether it takes place in school, at work or online. Bullying is a learned behaviour and together we can change this culture, for good.
