CSG plays a vital protection role in keeping the Victorian Jewish community safe.
CSG relies on donations in order to carry out its mission. Its duties include:
Funding of CSG’s security app called CSG Alert, which will be made available at no cost to every member of Melbourne’s Jewish Community;
Running training sessions for over 200 volunteers;
Security Equipment;
Grant support;
Community control room;
Visitor screenings ;
Emergency management;
Security consulting advice for community; organisations, schools and shules, and;
Protect community events and functions.
In Victoria, CSG is the body responsible for collecting and collating antisemitic incidents. This information is distributed to community partners, government and law enforcement, and is used to track racist sentiment towards the Jewish community. CSG works closely with Victoria Police and other government bodies in both information sharing and operational capacities.
You can help ensure that your children, grandchildren and community are safe and secure, so they can continue to live a proud vibrant Jewish life. CSG is supported by the Council for Jewish Community Security and relies on the support of the community to continue our important work and provide protection services.
