2 blokes, 2 bikes & 200cc’s in the Outback – please support our fund raising efforts.
I’m writing to you today asking for a contribution to a wonderful cause. My team and I manage the investment portfolio of the Apex Foundation, and we support the foundation in a number of ways.
First and foremost by generating strong investment returns which underpin the foundations ability to distribute to the many worthwhile Apex trusts around the country, trusts that support practical and worthwhile initiatives ranging from assisting disadvantaged children to important Melanoma Research, and plenty in between. We host the Apex AGM and I often attend APEX board meetings, the last occasion corresponded with the Foundation donating a new van to a Central Coast school helping young people with Autism.
Each year we also participate in fund raising activities and this year we’re heading to the outback. I’m taking Harry, a couple of Honda CT110 postie bikes and heading into the picturesque Flinders Ranges & outback South Australia over some of the toughest & most challenging off road terrain Australia has to offer. From 8th-11th August, along with 100+ other riders we’ll travel 1,000 km in 4 days to raise funds for the Apex Copper Coast Retreats, which is the latest addition to the Apex Underprivileged Children’s Trust.
I have a couple of great clients along for the ride, and of course Harry will be piloting his own postie along with me. The Market Matters written reports will take a back seat during this period, however I hope (connection permitting) to be able to provide regular video updates along the ride, offering an insight into the great work that the Apex Foundation has been doing for over 75 years, and the characters behind it.
We’re aiming to raise $5,000 and if we get there, the Shaw & Partners Foundation will match it meaning $10,000 will go to an incredibly worthwhile cause. As they say on the ads, please give generously, the link is below and as we approach departure I’ll keep you all updated on our preparations, and of course our fund raising efforts. Live Life. Have Fun. Give Back.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support
James & Harry
