Thanks for visiting my Fundraising Page for Frocktober! As many of you know, my dear friend, Leane, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year. She was operated on in May 2017 and underwent six months of chemotherapy. In March this year, the cancer came back and she has just finished another six months of chemotherapy. Now there is nothing she can do to keep the cancer away but hope. During this time, Leane has been a shining light for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. She has spoken at many events, sometimes to 2,000 people. The social media influencers adore her! Marie Claire photographed her promoting Georg Jensen jewellery to raise funds and awareness. Witchery asked her to take part in their white shirt campaign - see how gorgeous she is! Personally, she is still the friend she always has been to me - compassionate, interested, supportive. We're still talking all things to do with work, fashion, family, books, recipes and design - just like we have for the last twenty-odd years. There's no early detection test for ovarian cancer - and only 15% of diagnosed women survive. Leane is raising money for an early detection test - even though it is too late for her.
